Reviewer Analysis: The Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unmatched Liquid & Spill Pickup: The testing specialist at Vacuum Wars highlighted that the Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro delivers raw suction power that outclasses many competitors when handling large liquid spills and thick pet accidents.
- Simultaneous Cleaning: Jake from Jake Reviews All showcased how the multi-surface pet brush roll sweeps solid crumbs while washing sticky stains away, completely removing the need for a separate broom.
- Fast Drying Times: Joel from SB Reviews demonstrated that the strong extraction motor pulls dirty water back off tile and hardwood so quickly that surfaces are left nearly dry immediately after passing over them.
- Straightforward Tank Emptying: Reviewers liked the dual-tank system that keeps fresh cleaning solution separate from pet hair and dirty water, making disposal clean and fast.
- Floor-Safe Storage: Both Joel and Jake praised the included clean-out tray, which protects delicate wood floors from moisture damage while the brush roller dries out.
Cons
- Limited Carpet Capability: Across multiple tests, Jake from Jake Reviews All and Joel from SB Reviews emphasized that while the machine can freshen low-pile area rugs, it struggles with deeper carpets and should not replace a dedicated carpet extractor.
- Cord Management: Because this is a corded unit, testers observed that you will need to manage cord slack while moving around obstacles, even though it provides uninterrupted power.
Where They Disagree
While all three testing outlets gave the unit high marks overall, they diverged on maintenance and handling. The youtuber from Jake Reviews All found the self-cleaning tray routine to be completely hassle-free for daily use. However, the expert team at Vacuum Wars compared it head-to-head with competing auto-mode washers and felt the self-cleaning cycle was slightly less automated, requiring a bit more manual rinsing after intense cleaning jobs.
Additionally, Vacuum Wars favored machines with automatic fluid distribution, whereas Joel from SB Reviews preferred the Bissell manual spray trigger, arguing it gives users far better direct control over how much solution is used on sensitive hardwood flooring.
If you want to cut down on cleaning time and tackle pet hair and floor stains in one swift motion, you can get the Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro on Amazon and see the difference on your own floors.

FAQ
How does the standard CrossWave compare to the Pet Pro?
The core motor performance remains quite similar, but the Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro includes specialized upgrades tailored specifically for animal messes. Reviewers noted it ships with specialized pet-formulated cleaning solutions, a tangle-resistant brush roll engineered to prevent pet hair clogs, and a built-in hair strainer inside the dirty tank that prevents drain blockages during clean-out.
Does the CrossWave Pet Pro work on carpets?
It works well for surface-level freshening on thin accent rugs and low-pile floor runners. However, the creators at SB Reviews and Jake Reviews All emphasized that it struggles on medium-to-deep pile carpets. The machine lacks the deep-reach bristles and hot-water injection required for deep carpet extraction, meaning it should not replace a dedicated full-sized carpet shampooer.
Is buying the CrossWave Pet Pro actually worth the spend?
If your home features mostly hard surfaces like hardwood, tile, or laminate, the collective of testers affirmed it is definitely worth the investment. The powerful suction effortlessly lifts large wet spills and sticky pet messes in a single motion, saving serious chore time. Ready to simplify your weekly cleaning routine?
